Pho Vietnam TJ

Pho Vietman TJ es pequeño restaurante de comida vietnamita y asiática que se encuentra en la Plaza Aguacaliente (justo enfrente de la Torre Aguacaliente). Se especializan en el pho, que es una sopa de fideos vietnamita, pero también venden otro tipo de platillos, como teriyaki, gyozas, pollo frito, spring rolls y otras comidas asiáticas.

Hay pocos lugares en Tijuana donde vendan pho, el más conocido es el Pequeño Saigón, pero por mucho Pho Vietnam le gana. El pho de Pho Vietnam tiene más sabor, las porciones de los platos son más grandes y más económicas. Los fideos que lleva la sopa son más ricos y aunque no tienen algunas opciones (como pho de menudo) puedes pedir un pho con todo tipo de carnes (albóndigas, res, camarones, todo en un plato). El pho tamaño grande es enorme, como para 2 personas. Muy recomendable ir a este pequeño restaurante.

Cuando llegamos, nos sirvieron unas frituras algo coloridas con sabor a papa. Muy ricas y más si le agregas limón. Además del pho, pedimos un teriyaki y unos dumpling fritos (eran más parecidos a unos spring rolls fritos, pero bueno). El té estaba muy bueno, no sabía a Nestea. El teriyaki también estaba rico, no tenía mucha salsa, ni estaba muy dulce, el pollo era delgado como en una milanesa. Y los dumplings estaban rellenos de queso crema, no recuerdo si otra cosa, pero lo mejor era la salsa con la que venían acompañados… era una salsa dulcecita, muy sabrosa, que en combinación del queso crema y lo frito del dumpling, era simplemente delicioso.

No esta caro ir a Pho Vietnam… el pho mixto chico costó como 70 pesos, el teriyaki unos 50 pesos, los dumplings 40 pesos y la jarra de té también como 50-60 pesos. El servicio es algo lento, pero vale la pena ir por la comida.

There are few places in Tijuana where they serve pho, the best known is “Pequeño Saigon”, but Pho Vietnam wins for much. Pho Vietnam’s pho has more flavor, portions are bigger and cheaper. The noodles and the soup are richer in flavor and although they have fewer options, you can order a pho with all kinds of meat (meatballs, beef, shrimp, all in the same plate). The large pho is huge, like for 2 people. Highly recommended to go to this small restaurant.

When we arrived, we were served some chips, potato flavored. In addition to pho, we ordered a teriyaki and fried dumpling (they were more like a fried spring rolls, but very good). The tea was good, did not taste like Nestea. The teriyaki was also rich, did not have much sauce, and wasn’t very sweet, the chicken was thin as a Milanese. And the dumplings were stuffed with cream cheese, do not remember if anything else, but the best was the sauce with which were accompanied ... it was a little sweet, very tasty sauce, which in combination of cream cheese and fried dumpling, it was simply delicious .

It’s not expensive to go to Pho Vietnam ... the mixed pho cost about 70 pesos, teriyaki about 50 pesos, 40 pesos for the dumplings and the jar of tea also 50-60 pesos. The service is somewhat slow, but worth going for the food.
